Christophe  was born in Besancon, France in 1965.
The designer was at the head of  the department of haute couture and pret-a-porter
of Christian Lacroix  before deciding to create his own label in 1990.
Then, after Spring and  Summer Collection 2002, he has been chosen creative director of Lacoste  as Giles Rosier’s successor.
The main task the stylist received was to develop a new image of the  company to attract new and younger buyers without losing old ones.
And  as all his collections had been a total success since 2002, Lacoste made  a right choice.
Lemaire presented a new men’s wear collection for Spring/Summer 2004  in 2003. The line had a commercial success and was oriented on average  buyer.

                     The Cristophe Lemaire look is  Prep-school-meets-Crayola on the runway. With an emphasis on color,  those sporty tennis skirts, collegiate sweaters, and of course, piqued  polos come in hues for anyone’s fancy.
Christophe Lemaire, designer of French  sportswear brand Lacoste, replace Jean-Paul Gaultier as its women's  fashion designer.

About Mirit Weinstock

"Through her entire internship, Mirit proved the highest professional qualities. Her work was creative, conceptual, precise, original and inspiring" Alber Elbaz, Artistic Director, Maison Lanvin, Paris.

Mirit Weinstock was born on March 2, 1977 – in the port city of Haifa, Israel.

At the age of 21, discharged from her mandatory service in the army, she began her studies in fashion design at the Shenkar School of Engineering and Design in Israel. In her 4 years of studies, Mirit chose to specialize in Fashion and Performance Art.

In Septmber 2003, Mirit started an internship at "Maison Lanvin", one of the leading fashion houses in Paris. She had the privilege to work with Alber Elbaz, Lanvin's artistic director. Later in 2003, Mirit was selected as a Chosen Artist of the Israeli Cultural Excellence Foundation (IcExcellence) in the field of Fashion design.

At the beginning of 2004, Mirit returned to Israel and started developing her own label of ready to wear fashion for women. The line was officially born in June 2004, and launched its first US collection in Summer 2006. Today, the line is sold in specialty stores across America, Europe and Israel. The line presents the ready to wear collection and a wedding dress collection.

Jeremy Scott is an American Fashion designer born in Kansas City. He attended the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, for fashion design. Scott started his runway career in Paris and has since shown collections in Paris, New York, Los Angeles, London, Moscow and Seoul.

He has built a reputation for outrageous designs favored by pop stars and celebrities.

Karl Lagerfeld said in the newspaper Le Monde that Scott was the only designer who could ever succeed him at CHANEL. Scott is known for humorous prints—splattering the essence of new rave all over his clothes—and the carry-all bags he designs each season for the French luxury company Longchamp. The designer was named number 31 in the Face’s ‘Most Important People in Fashion’ issue. He also appeared on the cover of fashion English magazine I-D in July 2007: the first designer to be featured there wearing clothes of his own design and shot as a self portrait.

'One of my favourite trips was definitely going to Shanghai back in 2008. I went to visit a friend who had recently moved there.
I like Asia and its contradictions…walking the streets of Shanghai you will always find all sorts of different people; like the affluent white collar workers mixing in amongst people doing shopping in their pyjamas!
The city is an international and multicultural megalopolis in itself, and there I was able to meet people from all over the world.
My friend Marta showed me the art district, Moganshan Lu, it’s a maze of art galleries and creative spaces where Chinese artists express their love and dissent for their country.

And the shopping? It’s a market which needs to develop…Europe is still better!'

Julian Zigerli has love for animals, a sporty attitude and a passion for using sugar, spice and everything nice as key ingredient for his creations. After graduating from the Fashion Department at the University of Art in Berlin, he decided to return back to his roots in Switzerland and start his own men’s fashion label. His first collection is inspired by labradoodles - a hybriddog, half labrador, half poodle - created for function. Similar to Julian’s Jackpacks - Jackets merged with backpacks. By using fur prints on wind- and water resistant swiss textiles, the pieces gain a overnatural look and are very functional. Julian Zigerli born in Murten (Switzerland) in 1984, studied fashion design at the University of the Art in Berlin and graduated with diploma in 2010. During and before the study he worked as intern in companies such as at the design office “Winkreative” in London, under the guidance of Tyler Brûlé or at “Trelise Cooper Ltd.” in New Zealand. While working on his fashion label “Julian Zigerli” he collaborates as a freelance costume designer. Among others: the short film “Lenny” from Cyril Amon Schaublin, for the play “Closer” inspired by Patrick Marber novel. Currently he is working on a costume project for “Magic Afternoon” by Wolfgang Bauers, which will open at the end of February in the Zurich based Theater Neumarkt. Julian Zigerli is the first guest designer of the new project WOKroom, Temporary Showroom to promote emerging designers produced by Federica Zambon and Simona Citarella, owners and buyers at WOKstore, multi-brand research store situated in Viale Col di Lana 5th in Milan. The meeting with the designer took place last January at the Rendez Vous in Paris during the Men’s fashion week: the prints on technical fabrics have convinced the two buyers to present him to the Italian market, after positive previous experiences with emerging designers such as Henrik Vibskov and jewelry designer Arielle de Pinto.

Dopo la laurea in Fashion Design all’Unversità delle Arti di Berlino, Julian Zigerli decide di tornare alle sue radici in Svizzera per far partire la collezione uomo che porta il suo nome.
La prima collezione è ispirata al labradoodles, un ibrido metà labrador metà barboncino creati per motivi funzionali. Così come i Jackpacks di Julian, giacche ibridate con zaini.
Usando stampe pelliccia su tessuti tecnicizzati di origine Svizzera, antipioggia e antivento,
i capi acquistano un aspetto ultra-naturale e sono molto funzionali.
Julian Zigerli nasce a Murten (Svizzera) nel 1984 e si laurea all’Università delle Arti di Berlin, laureandosi nel 2010. Ha fatto diversi stage in studi internazionali come “Winkreative”
a Londra, sotto la guida di Tyler Brûlé o al “Trelise Cooper Ltd.” in Nuova Zelanda.
Oltre alla progettazione della sua linea di abbigliamento uomo Julian Zigerli collabora come costumista freelance per diverse produzioni cinematografiche e teatrali in Svizzera come il cortometraggio “Lenny” di Cyril Amon Schaublin, o la piece teatrale “Closer” tratta dall’omonimo romazo di Patrick Marber. Al momento collabora per i costumi di “Magic Afternoon” di Wolfgang Bauers, che aprirà alla fine di Febbraio al Theater Neumarkt
di Zurigo.
Julian Zigerli è il primo designer ospite del nuovo progetto WOKroom, Temporary Showroom per la promozione di stilisti emergenti prodotto da Federica Zambon e Simona
Citarella, proprietarie di WOKstore, multibrand di ricerca in Viale Col di Lana 5a a Milano.
L’incontro con il designer è avvenuto lo scorso gennaio al Rendez Vous a Parigi, durante
la settimana della moda uomo: le sue stampe su tessuti tecnici hanno convinto le due buyer a farlo conoscere al mercato italiano, dopo le positive esperienze con designer emergenti come Henrik Vibskov e la designer di gioielli Arielle de Pinto.

In 1976, three friends opened NaNa, a 100 square foot store in Santa

Monica. Each co-founder was a member of the 1970s punk scene in

L.A., and had a passion for bands like Love and Justice, The Cramps,

Sex Pistols, The Clash, Throbbing Gristle, Joy Division, KMFDM,

along with the style popularized by these bands, which included the

thick soled workbooks that were popular with punk subcultures in

England at the time. In the early 1980s, NaNa began making their

own shoes in a Mexican factory where traditional Western shoes

were manufactured for cowboys and ranch hands. In the late 1980s

and early 1990s, NaNa grew to open two stores in New York, one on

the Upper West Side and another downtown on Prince Street. Chloë

shopped at these stores, and sported NaNa boots on the pages of Sassy

Magazine. Chloë continues to wear a treasured pair of NaNa combat

boots, and in 2009 connected with one of the founders of NaNa, Paul

Kaufman, after mentioning the brand in an L.A. Times article. Chloë

Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Pre-Spring 2011 resurrects some of

Chloë’s favorite styles from the original NaNa archives. All shoes are

manufactured in the same Mexican factory as the originals, made by

traditional Western shoemakers using all leather uppers and Goodyear

welt soles (a shoemaking technology that dates back to the early 1900s).

Will Sweeney doesn’t need to be introduced.

He is one of the most talented artist of his generation and in the occasion of the opening of Expo ‘the Doorz’ at Wok I had a quick chat with him...

1\You have collaborated with many apparel brands, Levi’s, Stussy etc..and Silas and Maria, where you worked with Jarvis, Purcell, etc..

How was that experience?

Working with Silas was a really good experience, I admired the brand and the artists that worked for them before I knew them but many people at Silas became close friends of mine, it was also one of the best clients I ever worked with in terms of creative freedom.

2\ Do you have some masters references?

I mean present\ past (future) people who you admire for their works...

Too many to mention, I’m very inspired by friends and people I work with - James Jarvis, who I share my studio with, is a big influence - even though our work is very different.

My friend Susumu is also an influence, we share many similar inspirations - mediavel monsters, lost tribes and strange costumes, I’m also inspired by my friend Jason Evans (http://www.jasonevans.info/index.html) who is a fashion photographer/record cover designer/artist and collector of strange objects - he has a unique way of looking at life.

Some of my favourite artists include, Paul Noble, Otto Dix, James Ensor, Barney Bubbles, Fletcher Hanks and Gary Panter....

3\ What are your main sources of inspirations ?

Natural history - I have many books on animals of all kinds - I particularly like insects, lizards and undersea creatures...

Costumes & masks, especially ‘primitive’ or tribal costume, I refernce National Geographic magazine a lot and have many copies in my studio.

Music often inspires me, sometimes I like to listen to heavy space rock like Hawkwind or Amon Düul 2 while I work..

Going out for walks around London also inspires me - good to think and look at architecture etc.

4\ How did you meet Matt Furie?How did you conceive the concept of the Doorz?

Matt & I were in contact by email for a while before we met, we finally met in Tokyo when we both had exhibitions there - we found we got on well otgether straight away, we have a compatible sense of humour and a shared love of nerdy fantasy!

The idea for The Doorz came about through talking on Skype, we both liked images of portals and entrances and decided that it was an accesible way to collaborate.

5\ How does the idea for Tales from the green fuzz?(I love it, that’s one really of my favourite comics)

I originally drew the character of Helmut The Hot Dog Man for a flyer design and he stuck...I was offered the chance to make a toy by James & Russell from Amos, but I needed to come up with a story to put the character in, so I came up with TFG...

6\ You are also part of Zongamin, a music project with Susumu Makai, who is a illustrator as well.

how was your approach to music?

I know that you love playing the guitar..

Since I was about 14 and I heard The Sex Pistols I’ve played guitar and been in bands...I gave up for a few years when I went to Liverpool to study, but when I moved down to London I met Susumu and I was quite inspired by his aproach to music - very relaxed. I started playing again and in a few years I joined a few different bands and played a lot of shows, after a while Susumu asked me to join Zongamin. It’s been a great experience, we’ve played in Japan, Rome, Ibiza, Glasgow...it’s very nice to have the opportunity to tour with the band and I love Susumu’s music.

7\ How was to work on the motion graphic video ‘Paruchute ending’ for Birdy Nam Nam?

Did you colloborate with other motion graphics works?

It was good but very hard work. I had worked on animations before, but never as the main creative person, with the BNN video I was responsible for the entire look of it, which was a bit scary at first but very rewarding. I just recently started working on another animated music video which is pretty exciting and a bit scary too as I’m even more responsible for this one!

8\ In which field do you want to apply your talent in the future?

I definetly want to make more animations, and I still feel that I want to write and draw many more comics - I havn’t done very much in this format yet and it’s such a fantastic medium for me...even though it takes much more work and doesn’t earn very much money (unless you sell the film rights).

9\ Have you got an unrealized dream?

I’d love to make a Giallo film!

Lo studio JaguarShoes Collective si trova a Shoreditch, East London, dove la vicinanza delle loro sedi ha formato un hub per la produzione creativa che attira persone affini provenienti da tutto il mondo. L’ acclamato locale DreamBagsJaguarShoes, alcuni spazi espositivi, il bar-caffetteria The Old Shoreditch Station,la pubblicazione PosterPaper, etichetta discografica BigDirtyEngine e negozio di moda No-One. Essi forniscono molte piattaforme per il talento creativo, dalle mostre ed eventi a interessanti prodotti di collaborazioni. Nel mese di agosto 2010 hanno ospitato ‘the Doorz’ una mostra doppia, dislocata alla Shoreditch Old Station e DreamBagsJaguarShoes composta dalle illustrazioni giganti di Matt Furie e Will Sweeney.

The Doorz è un trans - viaggio dimensionale realizzato con i metodi tradizionali di disegno (matita Caran d’ache a pastello, inchiostro lavato), i metodi moderni di comunicazione (Skype, yousendit. com) e stampa digitale deluxe. Con sede a Londra l’ artista Will Sweeney e Matt Furie da San Francisco hanno collaborato insieme a una serie di immagini di portali, porte e ingressi di nuovi mondi. Evocando le immagini di libri per bambini surreali, animazioni perdute e iper paesaggi reali abitati da alieni. Il Doorz è un gioco unico di bisbigli cinesi realizzati dalla influente coppia e che poi ha preso forma di stampe artistiche presso la Shoreditch Old Station e di una installazione in grande scala presso il locale DreamBagsJaguarShoes. Come parte dello spettacolo hanno anche prodotto una edizione limitata di T-shirt di Will Sweeney e un set da tè celebrativo di Matt Furie.

Tutta la mostra verra presentata e reinstallata ad hoc al Wok store a partire dal 14 gennaio fino a sabato 12 febbraio.

Matt Furie vive a San Francisco dove colleziona giocattoli e disegna brutte e buffe creature. I suoi

disegni vengono da un mix di incanto infantile e le situazioni del presente più adulto.

La sua personale definizione del suo lavoro è “ libri con illustrazioni infantili per adulti “.

Mixare il moderno e tradizionale sono il suo marchio di fabbrica per i suoi maturi personaggi ispirati

dai cartoni animati.

Da quando ha lasciato il suo nativo Ohio sei anni fa, il lavoro di Furie è stato constantemente

costellato da importanti riconoscimenti. Fino ad ora ha esposto in numerosi gallerie di arte contemporanea

in tutto il mondo, come Basso Gallery, New Image Art Gallery, Spazio 1026, Philadelphia,

Cinders Gallery e Galleria Monster Children e adesso Furie porterà finalmente il suo talento a

Milano presso il Wok-store.

L’anno scorso Furie è stato premiato come migliore artista visivo dal San Francisco Bay Guardian

del ventiseesimo premio annuale dei Goldie awards.

Aw10/11 collection "Walk the LIGHT" tells about walks that you have in the dark, at nights, it's about illuminated Windows that give moments of insight while passing them, about a light cone of a pocket lamp, about beaming Spotlights wandering around, detecting, blinding, searching, finding, focusing. Hidden Beauty, ordinary banal structures we come across everyday get spotted and highlighted, such as road/sidewalk surfaces you walk on, wood grain of a chair, PVC floorings etc. The collection, as a Journey , a Walk of Senses, connects to daily surroundings , to Spaces and places we're living at, to Objects and structures. It's the attempt to search and find the very "special" that is inherent in so many things of our daily life, to search and find the outstanding - to give in the "Magic".

each role:

Anne, as a Graphic Designer deals within the areas of printing, artworking, colours, fabrics etc. Christian as a fashion designer is in charge of pattern making, prototypes, product development and so on. The design process happens within the both of us. Each of us is, more or less, concerned with everything.

characteristics of our clothes:

Clear, reduced and simplified, rather than decorated, complex in detail, importance of quality (fabrics, manufacturing etc.), haptics and individuality of each garment. Conceptual working runs throughout the range, so as several working techniques that get visible in different ways. Just like the printingprocess of the clothes, which is actually a paperprinting technique.

All in all the collections are quiet and harmonic - in detail complex and intense.

Graphics/Colors are handpainted or handprinted by ANNTIAN, which makes every piece unique and "abnormal". Of great importance for ANNTIAN is the closeness to the product, and it's regional manufacturers, so as the increasing usage of ecological fabrics and materials. The clothes are full of hidden details, conceptual authorised, differing and individual.

In our work we combine fields of graphics and fashion. The Idea or the feeling we want to create "grows" coherent, within the working process.

Expressions of graphic elements and shapes are allways based on the theme contents we're presenting within the collection.

field of inspiration:

in general we are fascinated by mistakes, errors, disharmonies and abnormalities, unusualities, uncommen things, defects etc.

Nature is also a very important field of inspiration on the one hand side - on the other there's the vanguards in the field of technics that are of interest for us.

As we recognize that our way of working is often constructivistic, we can say that we feel related to Constructivism in some ways.

Also Architecture is allways a great field to look at.

In our collections we're trying to create an entire vision and mood, within a transfer to the "Interieur", Furniture, etc.

Production:

A huge part of the line is manufactured entirely by ANNTIAN - from A-Z. Plus we work together with small, local Manufacturers, all located in Germany mostly in and around Berlin. Origin of the used fabrics and Yarns is mostly Germany, Italy and France with a great focus on the ecological segment.

attitude / opinion of fashion:

Part of everyones, everyday - life! We feel rather close to the term „clothes“ than to the connotations that „fashion“ offers. As painters paint, and writers write - we‘re making clothes, so maybe it‘s them to express the best how we see fashion!

But still: For us Fashion is certainly not a trend, it‘s about colours, moods, "freedom of mixing up", harmonies and disharmonies. It‘s the people that bring „Beauty“ to fashion, not the other way around!

Vibskov&Emenius's performance at The Textile Museum Washington D.C U.S.a 24th july 2010 8pm

In addition to live performances, the event will feature screenings including Vibskov & Emenius'

‘Project 8’ and ‘Project 9’ (set to sound design by Swedish recording artists FEVER RAY)

The July 24th program will feature the first American appearance by Copenhagen based duo Henrik Vibskov & Andreas Emenius: “The Circular Series, Section 4” is an original site-specific performance based on human rituals, the constructions we build, and social isolation, using the contrasts of a large rigid geometric structure interacting with chaos, represented by explosions of color.

Vibskov & Emenius’ “The Circular Series”, started in 2010, follows the artists’ “The Fringe Projects” (2007 -2010) - 10 works in the form of installations, objects, performances, video and self-portraits, explored illusion, surface, and movement. “The Fringe Projects” have so far been exhibited in Milan, Zurich, Rotterdam, with all 10 projects on view at the Zeeuws Museum in the Netherlands. The book 'The Fringe Projects 1-10' (144p JapSam Publishers), was released in 2009.

The events are sponsored in part by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark as a Danish Cultural Event, and will coincide with Capital Fringe Festival 2010. Washington D.C.’s NPR affiliate station, WAMU American University Radio, is the official media sponsor and The Normandy Hotel of The Doyle Collection is the hotel sponsor. A ognuno abbiamo tagliato i dentini sul retro, li abbiamo accuratamente puliti e composti in mattonelle di 20 righe e 19 colonne

About -

A fine arts graduate of Concordia University in 2007, Canadian designer Arielle de Pinto developed her unique style of metal work over the course of studies in print and textiles and a series of internships.

Launching a line later that same year Arielle is a regular participant in New York and Paris fashion weeks and her collection of hand-worked jewelry is presented by select specialty stores internationally.

In addition to her own work and Montreal-based studio, Arielle collaborates with other designers within the artistic communities of New York, Montreal, and Berlin.
